Booking Conditions
These booking conditions set out the basis upon which holiday reservation are accepted by Mr & Mrs A. Guest.
Contract
If you make a booking with us, a binding contract will come into place when we issue and send you a written confirmation
of booking. Your contract with us will be governed by Spanish law and subject to the jurisdiction of the Spanish courts of
law. The contract is made with the person named on the Confirmation of Booking, who must be over 18 years and who is deemed
responsible for informing all members of the party about all matters relating to the holiday.
Payment
Bookings will be confirmed on receipt of the appropriate payment (or faxed proof of transfer thereof). Where bookings
is made more than 8 weeks in advance, a deposit of 20 percent is payable at the time of booking. Bookings less than 8
weeks in advance are payable in full at the time of booking. Upon receipt of the appropriate payment a Confirmation of Booking
will be issued by Mr & Mrs A Guest detailing the total cost of the holiday, the amount paid and (where applicable) how
much remains to be paid (the final payment).
The final payment (where applicable) must be paid 8 weeks before the commencement of the holiday. If it is not paid
on time we reserve the right to cancel the booking, retain the deposit and apply cancellation charges as described below.
Prices
We will absorb the first 2% of any cost increase caused by currency fluctuations, but thereafter a surcharge may be made.
If the surcharge represents more than 5% of the holiday price then the client may cancel and receive a full refund of all
monies paid.
Cancellation
Any cancellations must be notified to us in writing (this includes email) by the person who contracted the holiday. If
such notification is received more than 28 days before the holiday commencement date, only the deposit will be retained by
us.
Otherwise the following charges apply which are based on the expenses and charges suffered by us as a result of cancellation:
21-28 days before - 60%
15-21 days before - 75%
14 days or less - 100%
Please note that we strongly recommend that all members of the holiday party obtain appropriate travel and personal insurance
cover.
It may very occasionally be necessary for Mr & Mrs A Guest to cancel holidays, In such event we will offer the client
either another holiday of equivalent standard (subject to availability) or full refund of all monies paid to us.
Amendments
If the client wishes to alter or amend the booking, we will always do our best to comply with the request. However changes
of holiday property or the dates thereof may be treated as cancellations and amendments may be subject to additional charges.
Occasionally a change may have to be made by us to confirmed arrangements after a booking has been made. If a major change
becomes necessary which we consider would seriously affect the enjoyment of the holiday, we will give the client the option
of accepting the changes or accepting from us a holiday of equivalent standard, or cancellation of the holiday with full refund
of all monies paid.
Party size
Under no circumstances may more than the maximum number of persons (including children) as stated in the property description
occupy a property, except by prior written agreement with us. Failure to observe this condition is deemed to constitute a
cancellation of booking by the client. Mr & Mrs A Guest reserve the right to refuse admittance and terminate the booking
and apply the appropriate cancellation charges. Clients wishing to bring pets must ask prior permission.
Responsibilities
Mr & Mrs A Guest takes all reasonable measures to ensure the standard of its properties. However we cannot be held
responsible for the action of carriers, car hire companies, caterers, providers or organisers of courses or activities. We
are specifically not responsible for events outside our reasonable control or if there has been no fault by Mr & Mrs A
Guest. Nevertheless, we will always endeavour to immediately rectify any cause for dissatisfaction during your stay whenever
you notify us. (See complaints below)
The client is responsible for any property occupied and is expected to take reasonable care of it and to leave it in
a clean and tidy condition. Any damages are the responsibility of the client and their cost shall be refundable on demand.
Clients are kindly requested to replace breakages prior to departure.
Health
While personal insurance for accident, illness and injury is highly recommended. European Nationals please note that
the National Health Service is provided free of charge in Spain. They should bring with them an E111 form to be able to legally
claim this service. In the UK this form is available from Post Offices.
Complaints
We do not wish to have dissatisfied customers, but in the event that the client is not entirely satisfied with the service
offered, he or she should contact us in the first instance. This will give us the opportunity to put things right during your
stay. If the problem cannot be resolved during the holiday period, the client should contact us in writing within 14 days
of the holiday and we will do our best to resolve the matter.
Liability
We cannot be held liable to accept responsibility for theft, death, bodily injury or illness on holiday.
Law and Jurisdiction
These conditions and terms of contract and all matters arising there from are subject to Spanish Law and to the jurisdiction
of the Spanish courts.
Minimum booking period
Usually one week. Shorter stays may be available on request.
Arrival and departure days and time
We will try to be flexible where possible, but this may depend on existing bookings
On the changeover day
Following the departure of the previous guests in the morning, the property will be properly cleaned and prepared prior
to your arrival. It will not usually therefore be ready for you before 5pm (unless we have already informed you otherwise).
The latest acceptable arrival time is 10pm unless special arrangements have been made.
In the week before the start of your holiday, please let us know your estimated time of arrival so that we can pass on
this information to the key holder. This will allow them to organise their day so that they can be there to meet you at the
arranged time. If your arrival is significantly delayed for any reason (for example - a flight delay) please contacts us,
or the key holder.
On the day of departure (unless we have already agreed otherwise) please vacate the property by 10am.
Gas, Water and Electricity
Gas, water and electricity for normal domestic consumption are included in the rental price. The boiler for hot water
and the hob is powered by bottled gas. A spare bottle is provided. Electric in Casa Colmena) Should you need to change the
bottle during your stay, the house book contains instructions or you can refer to the key holder.
Electrical Heating/firewood
As we make no additional charge for the electric heating we do ask clients to be considerate in turning off heaters when
they go out for the day. A basket of firewood is included in the price. You can purchase more by arrangement with the key
holder at the property.
Bed Linen & Towels
Bed linen and bathroom towels are included in the price. Beach/pool towels (i.e. for outdoor use) are not provided and
we ask you to bring your own.
Cleaning
The properties are of course, cleaned between holidays, however there is only a limited period in which to clean so we
would be grateful if you could leave the house and its contents as tidy as possible.
Domestic Animals
Please make enquires at the time of booking if you wish to bring a pet.
Maximum Occupancy
Casa del mulo and Casa Colmena are ideally designed for the use of up to 6 people. El Mulito is designed for up to 2
people.
Facilities
Unless otherwise stated In Casa del Mulo and Casa Colmena there will be an Satellite TV, electric/gas hob , electric
oven, sink with hot and cold water, washing machine, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, adequate cooking utensils, cutlery, crockery,
and other household equipment to a reasonable standard for holiday use and suitable for the number of people the house accommodates.
In El Mulito there will be a CD player, electric hob/oven, sink with hot and cold water, fridge with ice compartment,
adequate cooking utensils, cutlery, crockery and other household equipment to a reasonable standard for holiday use and suitable
for the number of people the house accommodates.
All three properties have modern bathrooms with flushing WC and shower, and sink with hot and cold running water (please
note that due to the water pumping system it is better to stagger showers to allow the water tank to refill. The water pressure
then is excellent.)
Safety/ Medical
There is a fire extinguisher in the kitchen and a medical kit above the kitchen cupboard. The house book contains information
about the nearest doctors/chemist etc.
Telephone
The property does not have a telephone line. Mobile reception is available from the house.
Saleres
This is rural Andalucia; the village of Saleres is a typical Spanish village with whitewashed houses clinging to the
valley hillside. (please note this is a village and therefore has activity and noise as in any village life).There is parking
near by with a short walk up a slope to the house, the streets were built for donkey traffic not cars and some are narrow
and steep. This house is not suitable for those requiring facilities for the disabled or for anyone who would consider this
type of access a serious impediment to the enjoyment of their holiday.
The pay off lies in the stunning views and the unspoilt traditional lifestyle.
Pool (Casa Colmena)
The pool in Casa Colmena is 2 metres deep and care must be taken to supervise all children. All entrances to the pool
can be locked and we cannot accept responsibility for any accident or death resulting from using the pool.
Glass wear should not be taken near the pool and any incident resulting in us having to drain the pool due to things
being dropped in by the client will be paid for by the client.
The pool will be maintained by our representative throughout your stay, which may mean you allowing access to him and
the pool being closed for a short period.
